Napoleon's Advent Calendar ~ Day Four
After a successful third day Napoleon had high hopes for the fourth. Arriving early in the morning, eager to discover what Grail-kun had in store for him, he had the appearance of a man who had gotten into the swing of things. It had been a rough start, of course, but he was certain that there was nothing that could not be achieved once he put his mind to it. Perhaps he was foolishly optimistic, Napoleon reasoned, for one day of victory could hardly guarantee the final success of a war. Yet, as he approached the fourth door, a larger affair than the previous two days, he readied himself for the best. He would not see himself become another snack today – nor a foot toy for that matter. Now was the Emperor’s time to shine! The design of the door was purposely intricate and grandiose. Instantly reminding him of one of those traditional Christmas cards he had seen in the shops, their front decorated with some detailed work of art or another, their colours a rich combination of varying
